For the first time ever, extensive study and examination has allowed NGC to certify the issuing authority of each SS Republic New Orleans Mint coin as minted by the United States, State of Louisiana or the Confederate States of America.

Included is an 1860-O Liberty Seated half dollar minted before Louisiana seceded from the United States, in addition to the State of Louisiana and Confederate States of America issue 1861-O Liberty Seated half dollars. Combining these three coins creates a historical three government set.

Each coin is individually numbered and encapsulated with a special label bearing the flag of its issuing authority. A Certificate of Authenticity and full story brochure are included in this set along with a deluxe Scrimshaw presentation case.
